Our family has been in the trophy business for 25 years. We established our first trophy shop (Trophy Traders) on Newtown Road in 1982, before opening a Launceston location in 1985. We sold up in 1990 before returning to the trophy game in 1993.  We then opened Trophies, Badges and Signs on Derwent Park Road before moving to our current location (149 Main Road Moonah) in 2003 under the name of The Trophy Shop. 

At this location our locksmith section grew into its own business - Moonah Locksmiths.

In 2008 we decided it was time to create some brand equity and we changed our name to The Smith Locks and Awards. We are affectionately known as 'The Smith' and now operate under two entities - Smithlocks and Smithawards.
